| Fabrics and Yarns Ltd was opened in 1964 by Mr. Hussamy. The
company specialises in the distribution of yarn from around the world, to the knitting
industry in the UK and Europe. Since then its goal, which is to be a low cost, but high
quality supplier, has not changed. The company is able to do this by exposing
international trade barriers and also by taking advantage of economies of scale. By
predicting future fashions and trends, F&Y can buy in bulk the yarns of tomorrow and
have them in the country by the time they are in fashion. F&Y can do this by using
their massive warehouses to store yarns and their processing machines to change yarns to
meet demand.
Crepe sizes is a wholly owned subsidary of F&Y, manufacturing textured nylon and polyester from POY. Crepe sizes are BS 5750 and ISO 9000 registered. Crepe sizes have the very latest texturising machinery that incorporates on line hessian monitoring to ensure the highest quality standards. Crepe sizes process Dupont material and are able to offer branded "Tactel" yarns. |
